Women's Canadian Open LPGA Event

Last week I had the opportunity to play in the Pro Am of the Women's Canadian Open held at the Royal Mayfair Golf Course in Edmonton, Alberta, with Sarah as my caddie. We drew In-Kyung (IK) Kim, a rookie on the LPGA tour this year. What a tremendous young lady! Not only is she a very talented player but additionally she could not have been sweeter and fun to play with.

Jasper

One of the most scenic drives in Canada is the road trip from Calgary to Jasper on highway 93 north, the Icefields Parkway. Virginia and I made the trip this past weekend as we traveled to one of our favorite escapes, the Jasper Park Lodge. It helps that the resort includes one of the great Canadian golf courses, my absolutely number one choice to play.

Bangkok:

Wat Phra Kaew, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, and the adjoining Grand Palace together form perhaps the greatest spectacle for the visitor to Bangkok, it's an amazing place to visit.

It consists of over 100 brightly colored buildings, golden spires and glittering mosaics, and dates back to 1782, when Bangkok was founded.

Tokyo: Tsukiji Fish Market, the biggest fish market in the world.

An unbelievable early morning sight, as the market hussles with activity and the smells and sounds of the market overwhelm, never mind the quantity and varity of fish.
